Werner Rohr´s Monster is based on a Legendary Japanese machine, the Iconic AE86. A Levin model in this case, with its Naturally Aspirated 4-AGE engine capable of 230Hp/9.000Rpm to move only around 820Kg.

Charel Valentiny is the driver of this great sounding, brutal looking Impreza WRX STi Hillclimber that competes mainly on events between France, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany.

Tuned up to 550Hp, it is still quite a heavy machine, weighing in at 1290Kg, but this is also a Monster that has seen continuous evolution suring the last years so we will keep an eye on this machine as it evolves it something even more extreme.

Brett Killip finished this year´s edition of Leadfoot Festival in 8th place overall with his awesome 13B powered 300Hp/10.000Rpm Mazda RX-7 FD3S.

It runs a Green Brothers Racing-developed Mazda Rotary 13B peripheral port engine, 6 speed sequential gearbox and Koni shocks. It weighs around 1100Kg.

Rudolf Windbacher drove a unique Monster on the last edition of Rechberg Hillclimb, a Honda S2000 tuned for Time Attack Events adapted to Hillclimb Racing.

Using an extensive Aerodynamic package and lightened to around 1000Kg of weight, it has its F20C engine tuned by Gabat up to around 320Hp/9.000Rpm in a setup made to have power available on a bigger portion of the Rev Range.

2.0L Engine with ITBs - Pure Sound​

Among the Peugeot 205 GTi units being used on Hillclimb Racing, the one raced by Fabien Houlmann, a 2.0L Naturally Aspirated machine capable of around 240Hp/9.000Rpm.

With the characteristic sound provided by the use of ITB´s (Individual Throttle Bodies) and weighing only 720Kg, it also has gone thorugh different Aerodynamic packages through the years, with the video showing it action on 2015, 2016 and 2017, where different bodywork was used on each.

Klaus Hoffmann drove for years one a proper Monster on the German Berg-Cup series, a ex-Works Opel Astra DTM powered by a Naturally Aspirated V8 engine.

With 500Hp of tremendously Loud sound, here it can be seen and heard on Homburg Hillclimb with its distinctive soundtrack being amplified by the forest surrounding it.

This is the 2018 version of Marek Rybnicek´s Ford Fiesta RS Evo, a Spaceframed 950Kg unit using a highly modified Drivetrain from a Lancer Evolution IX, here with 700Hp/800Nm produced by the 4G63T engine.

On Rechberg 2018 if got a fantastic 2nd Place among Touring Cars, confirming this Monster among the fastest on Europe.

This is Enzo Bottechia´s Renault 5 Turbo and has for years been one of the most spectacular units from the Swiss Hillclimb Championship.

With its 1.4 Turbocharged Rear Positioned Engine producing 290Hp to move only 850Kg, the is Rear Wheel Drive Hatchback with roots on Group 4 and Group B Rallying demands a uite spectacular driving style and has quite a fiery temper.

This is Martin Zamberger´s pocket Rocket, a highly modified Peugeot 106 GTi with 220Hp/10.000Rpm moving little over 800Kg.

This little Monster was stopped for more than a year in order to achieve this Spec. With its 1.6L Tu5J4 engine unit in Naturally Aspirated form, it is now a much more powerful and capable Hillclimb car than it was during its first years of competition between 2012 and 2015.

This 600Hp/1120Kg explosively quick Escort Cosworth was one of the Two Most Spectacular Monsters on Rampa da Falperra 2018. Masterfully driven by José Silvino Pires, it was the Fastest E1-Class Car until having to retire.

Until then it was not only effective but also spectacular thanks to the spectacular driving style used and it explosive power delivery, rich in Flames, Pops and Bangs.

Daniele Pelorosso drives one of the highly modified E1-2000 Class units of the Renault Clio in the Italian Hillclimb Championship. With most of its structure spaceframed by this point, it puts together a very lightweight body with a 2.0L NA engine capable of around 280Hp/9.000Rpm.

Capable of beating far more powerful competition, it is only surpassed by another Clio unit that we will show in the upcomeing days...

Stefan Wiedenhofer continues evolving his Gabat tuned, 4G63 powered, AWD Mitsubishi Mirage R5 (originally built by Dytko Sport from Poland). With an Aerodynamic package more aggressive than ever it is regularly a contender for Overall Victories on any Austrian Hillclimb Championship Round.

Michele Ghirardo debuted on Alpe Del Nevegal 2018 a very quick Lotus Exige unit built to compete on the highly competitive E2-SH 3000+ Class. A Supercharged Lightweight machine that got off to an impressive start.

With around 300Hp moving the sub-900Kg Mid-Engined British Sports Car it will be evolved through time into an even more impressive beast.

Rotary Group C Monster - Leadfoot Festival​

This is one of the Rotary Monsters owned by Aidan Barret from New Zealand and quite a special machine it is. You can see it in action on Leadfoot Festival using all its 330Hp.

This power is produced by a peripherally ported 13B Rotary Engine, in NAturally Aspirated form, tuned by Green Brothers and it moves only 940Kg of Group C heavily inspired Bodywork, from its widened stance to all the Aerodynamic appendages used.

Arguably the fastest FWD Monster in European Hillclimb Racing, this is Luigi Sambuco and SAMO Competition´s Renult Clio Proto, a spaceframed Clio bodied machine powered by a highly tuned 300+Hp/9.000Rpm Renault 2.0L Cup Engine.

Thanks to its Chassis architecture, this is very light machine weighing only around 800Kg and given the tremendous performance it produces it has also been target of very visible Aerodynamic improvements in order to optimize its cornering performance.

Ex-Petter Solberg Subaru Impreza WRC S14

This is Chassis Number 6 of the Impreza WRC S14 Model built for the World Rally Championship and once driven by Petter Solberg. Nowadays it is raced on Spanish Hillclimbs by the popular and spectacular Gerard De La Casa.

Here you can see the Turbocharged Boxer Monster being explored to its limits on Subida Al Fito, the Spanish Round of the European Hillclimb Championship. Despite not being able to finish because of some mechanical problems, it was among the fastest Monsters alongside McLarens, Lamborghinis, Porsches and more much more powerful machines.

Today, on something a bit different, we present a Monster that although pretty quick on its own, impresses more through its rarity and beauty. It´s Walter Martinelli´s Alfa Romeo Bertone 2000 GTV.

The 2000cc Twin Cam Inline 4 powered Italian Coupé designed byt the prestigious Bertone Design House is seen here transformed into a Racing Version with around 200Hp moving only 840Kg of weight to make it a proper contender for its Class on the Historic portion of the Austrian Hillclimb events it enters.
